Odyssey Con Society Inc, or OCSI, was founded in 2015 and is the organization which hosts the annual Odyssey Con. It is a non-stock, not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of Wisconsin with its principal office in Madison, Wisconsin. Its purpose is to foster interest in, appreciation for, and criticism of fantasy and science fiction in literature, art, drama, and other forms of communication.
OCSI is a completely non-discriminatory organization. Any sentient being is eligible for OCSI membership upon payment of $10 annual dues. (See below.) Membership in OCSI does not automatically confer an attending membership of Odyssey Con.
The primary benefits to OCSI membership are (1) eligibility to hold OCSI offices, (2) ability to vote on OCSI officers, (3) ability to vote on OCSI business, and (4) a warm fuzzy feeling for helping to comply with state and federal legal requirements.
The OCSI executive board comprises the five officers elected every year at the annual meeting held in July. It manages the affairs of OCSI between meetings of the general membership, subject to direction from such meetings.The officers currently are:
